Algorithmic Form
+Fabrication
Algorithmic Form + Fabrication explores how rule based systems and generative processes can produce structure, material presence, and spatial experience. Through 3D scanning, structural analysis, and blueprint informed AI models, natural and constructed forms are translated into algorithmic frameworks that guide both image generation and material production. Central to this work is computational craft, where code, iteration, and fabrication operate as integrated stages of design rather than isolated tools.
The work begins with custom AI models and structurally guided prompts that generate form driven images. These outputs are translated through a series of computational tools into three dimensional geometry, where they are refined, optimized, and prepared for fabrication. The resulting objects are produced through 3D printing in materials such as metal and nylon, transforming algorithmic generation into physical sculptural form.
This process extends into sculptural practice and the production of artifacts embedded within larger experiential systems. Algorithmically derived forms inform spatial elements and fabricated components within immersive environments such as Beyond TerraCore, allowing generative logic to shape embodied interaction and material presence.
